The UX Research Program Manager is a member of the Program Management team in Ford Pro's global Digital & UX group, which sits within the Marketing division.

This position will work closely with Omni-Experience and Program Management leaders and team members including UX Researchers, Content Designers, UX Designers, Product Managers and other stakeholders to develop, execute and support a variety of qualitative and quantitative research efforts to inform intuitive, useful and appealing user-centric experiences, content strategies, and brand initiatives that resonate with Ford Pro users and align with Ford's brand standards.

Core responsibilities include helping establish standard operating processes for UX research work and planning, management of research-related resources, and enabling user research efforts from efficient/effective planning through execution, analysis and communicating findings.

This role will oversee collaborative development of research protocols, application of research insights and the investigation and testing of research tools and processes supporting user-centric content creation, UX design, usability testing, and the continuous optimization of digital experiences across Ford Pro's multiple markets, ensuring consistency and alignment with the brand.

What you'll do...

  • Manage day to day governance of processes vital for the smooth and efficient operation of the UX Research program for Ford Pro, including managing schedules, budgets, and research campaigns, and handling all required internal and external communication to support these initiatives.
  • Speak authoritatively on UX research and usability best practices and processes from concept to implementation.
  • Build out user research and usability testing programs to balance research costs with delivered insights.
  • Define content strategies aligned with user insights and business objectives.
  • Seamless integration and collaboration with current Omni-Experience team UX Researchers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional design, marketing, and technology teams to gather requirements, prioritization details and feedback to support creation of user-centric digital experiences.
  • Manage and enhance content creation processes to improve efficiencies and ensure consistency and quality across markets.
  • Empower teams to efficiently and consistently conduct user research and usability testing to support iterative product development and to understand user behaviors, needs, and preferences while gathering iterative feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and optimize key performance indicators (KPIs) related to user experience and content effectiveness.
  • Stay updated on Commercial Vehicle, UX Research and Content Design trends and best practices.
  • Champion the value of UX research within the organization and advocate for user-centered design principles.
  • Work with Omni-Experience and Program Management teams to continuously refine processes and methodologies to increase efficiency, effectiveness, and impact.

  • Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and equivalent experience
  • 6+ years of experience in design, usability, or related roles
  • Can use their excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills to convey complex concepts effectively

  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Library and Information Sciences, UX Design, UX Research, Interaction Design, HCI, Ergonomics, Human Factors, Psychology, etc. (or equivalent experience)
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion in a remote and dynamic working environment
  • Passion for analyzing systems and continually improving them
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Axure RP, Adobe XD, etc.
  • Experience creating responsive designs for web and mobile applications
  • Knowledge of usability principles and user-centered design methodologies
  • Ability to collaborate with designers, authors, developers and stakeholders to uncover and document both issues and opportunities in the design space, and propose/implement process and/or technology solutions
  • Keen appreciation for user-centric and user-friendly interfacesDetail-oriented mindset with a focus on supporting delivery of high-quality UX designs
  • Comfortable showcasing past UX-related projects, design thinking, expertise with research methodologies
