The position is part-time during the academic year and transitions to full-time during school breaks, aligning with the local school calendar.

Program Overview
The SPARK program is a licensed, high-quality childcare service that caters to families in the metropolitan area. The Director of SPARK is tasked with ensuring a safe, healthy, and enriching environment for all enrolled children.

Key Responsibilities
As a Lead Educator, you will oversee a group of 10-20 children, engaging them in various indoor and outdoor activities. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Facilitating educational experiences that promote fun, growth, and social skill development;
  • Maintaining an organized and tidy environment before and after activities;
  • Assisting with the preparation and cleanup of snacks and meals;
  • Participating in teaching and engaging with students during activities;
  • Preparing supplies and equipment for children's activities;
  • Contributing to end-of-day clean-up tasks;
  • Engaging in all program activities designed for SPARK children;
  • Completing additional tasks as assigned by the Director to enhance the SPARK experience;
  • Planning specific activities in collaboration with the Director;

Additionally, you will assist in transporting children from school using a designated vehicle.

Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age;
  • Must possess a high school diploma or GED;
  • Must have or be willing to obtain CPR certification;
  • Must successfully pass a fingerprint background check;
  • Preference will be given to candidates with a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
