Summary This position is an IT Program Manager within one of multiple Maintenance and Logistics Systems Group (AJW-1600) teams or sub teams.

Position reports directly to a Maintenance and Logistics Systems Team or Sub-Team Manager. Responsibilities The IT Program Manager must understand the Agency's business and software requirements. The IT Program Manager works to implement software solutions for the FAA's Supply Chain System (SCS).

SCS supports an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software platform that supports various supply chain, configuration management and maintenance planning/execution work tools.

AJW-162's work includes software planning, development, deployment and operational support for the ERP.

Incumbent carries out a mixture of multiple and varying complex major IT programs including advanced IT concepts, principles, methods, standards and practices to:

develop and interpret policies, procedures, and strategies governing the planning and delivery of services throughout the agency; provide advanced technical advice, guidance, and recommendations to management and other technical specialists on critical IT issues; apply new developments to previously unsolvable problems; and make decisions or recommendations that significantly influence important agency IT policies or programs.

Incumbent applies a comprehensive technical knowledge of program management principles, methods, and practices, including developing plans and schedules, estimating resource requirements, defining milestones and deliverables, monitoring activities, and evaluating and reporting on accomplishments to manage assigned programs; and prepare and present briefings to senior management officials on complex/controversial issues.

Ensures the integration of IT programs and services.

Incumbent applies a comprehensive technical knowledge of the organization's policy and planning formulation process; capital investment planning principles and methods; and the organization's enterprise IT goals and objectives.

Program work includes project selection, prioritization, evaluation and monitoring, risk management and quality management. Incumbent is assigned key aspects in the development of IT goals, objectives, plans, and policies for assigned programs. Incumbent develops reports and presentations on the status of assigned programs.

Analyzes data from reports to suggest areas of continuous improvement of data collected and reporting to support risk-based decision making.

Incumbent interacts with other FAA, DOT other agency organizations, as necessary. Prepares written reports, briefings and presentations on findings to senior level management. These types of positions administer, develop, deliver, and support information technology (IT) systems and services. The paramount requirement is knowledge of IT principles, concepts, and methods; e.g., data storage, software applications, and networking.

Information technology refers to systems and services used in the automated acquisition, storage, manipulation, management, movement, control, display, switching, interchange, transmission, assurance, or reception of information.

To qualify for this position, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to FV-I / FG/GS Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position

Specialized Experience is:

Experience implementing software solutions for a Supply Chain System in support of the National Airspace System (NAS), to include software planning, development, deployment, and operational support utilizing an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software platform.
