QAP is seeking a Project Engineer for work on the Kenai Peninsula. This individual is responsible for providing oversight on assigned field operations and reports to the Area Manager. They will assist in cost management and analysis, scheduling, billings, and project support. This individual should have strong analytical skills, organizational skills, and communication skills with a dedication to safety, integrity, and ethics.
Main Responsibilities- Ensure a safe work site in accordance with Colaska policy, within the Goal Zero principles.
- Assist Site Superintendent(s) and Project Manager(s) with operations, schedules, and cost management.
- Digital modeling of the work using Trimble Business Center software
- Assist Project Manager with daily duties such as material billing preparations, expedite material procurement, approvals, and facilitate product transportation.
- Attend pre-job and weekly meetings with agencies/owners.
- Establish and maintain both cost and billing quantities.
- Transfer of information from estimating software to job cost software.
- Manage positions that may report to the Project Engineer (Project Clerk, Project Engineer Intern)
- Willingness to work nights and weekends when required
- Must be safety oriented.
- Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or work experience can be used in lieu of education.
- Valid Driver's License
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Should have a spirit of adventure and have a positive demeanor.
