Role Responsibilities:
The Project Engineer is responsible for overseeing the engineering contractor and ensuring the delivery of project engineering outputs.
This role involves coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams and various client resources to ensure that project goals align with design basis functionality, operability, maintainability, constructability, quality, cost, and timeline.
Key Duties:- Promote and actively support Incident-Free Culture (IFC) principles through workshops as necessary.
- Enhance Human Performance principles and foster a learning environment by gaining insights from employees performing the work.
- Ensure compliance with document and records management policies.
- Utilize CPMS AK standards and practices effectively on all relevant projects.
- Clarify functional requirements and specifications for the engineering contractor.
- Organize engineering material and equipment orders to meet specifications and requirements within budget and schedule.
- Monitor engineering contractor performance regarding cost and timeline.
- Plan and ensure contractor resources are available as required for the project.
- Maintain organized documentation of communications between contracted teams and project management.
- Verify that the contractor fulfills the scope of work and delivers all necessary outputs as per contract agreements.
- Facilitate timely resolution of engineering queries during fabrication and construction phases.
- Develop the Engineering Plan as part of the Project Execution Plan (PEP) as directed by the Engineering & Commissioning Manager.
- Track project execution against the plan and communicate any deviations that may indicate scope changes.
- Identify and communicate technical and execution risks that could impact business and project objectives.
- Collaborate with environmental permitting specialists to prepare necessary documentation for project permits.
- Ensure adherence to the engineering change management process to maintain technical integrity.
- Coordinate engineering support for procurement of materials and services essential for facility design, fabrication, and installation.
- Incorporate constructability insights into project design.
- Schedule and conduct CPMSAK Design Review and Acceptance Practice (DRAP).
- Ensure that process hazard reviews and safety in design standards are applied and documented.
- Identify, document, and obtain approval for any specification deviations or adaptations from the COPA Technical Authority.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in oil and gas facilities.
