Position Overview:
Key Responsibilities:

  • Engaged in a rotational field position providing engineering assistance for construction operations.
  • Collaborates closely with field Construction Managers and Supervisors to deliver necessary engineering support.
  • Conducts initial assessments and timely responses to field Requests for Information (RFIs). Coordinates with Company engineers or engineering contractors and installation contractors as needed.
  • Evaluates engineering drawing sets and offers constructive feedback.
  • Performs inspections of fabricated modules, walkways, supports, etc., at fabrication facilities as required to monitor progress and prepare for installation.
  • Prepares weekly reports for the Project Lead summarizing field activities and technical challenges being addressed.
  • Ensures that decisions made in the field regarding pipelines align with all relevant Project Team members, contractors, and stakeholders, while maintaining records of decision-making processes.
  • Verifies that pipeline installation adheres to applicable specifications and standards.
  • Assists the Project Lead in developing presentations regarding project matters and updates for Management.
  • Provides insights on contractor change requests.
  • Encourages knowledge sharing and fosters effective communication and collaboration with Management and key personnel.


Required and Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, ideally in Mechanical or Civil/Structural disciplines.
  • Extensive experience, typically ranging from 10 to 20 years in relevant fields.
  • Capable of identifying issues and formulating potential solutions.
  • Makes informed decisions within clearly defined parameters.
  • Strong background in the design and installation of cross-country pipelines is preferred.
  • Experience with remote Arctic projects is advantageous.
  • Demonstrates strong project management, leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills at both PMT and crew levels.
  • Ability to apply knowledge and experience to complex challenges and develop sound recommendations.
