Position Overview

The Clinical Specialist acts as a clinical expert, healthcare provider, educator, collaborator, consultant, leader, and researcher for a specific patient population or specialty area. They offer consultation to address complex patient care issues and provide guidance on prevention and management of patient care practices.

As a Clinical Specialist, you will operate within a professional evidence-based nursing practice framework, focusing on patient/family, nursing, and system/organization spheres of influence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in risk management relating to nursing practice, incorporating evidence into all activities.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's and Master's degree in Nursing (Required)
  • Doctoral degree in Nursing, Education, or Healthcare Administration (Preferred)
  • Active DC RN License
  • 5-7 years of relevant nursing experience
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
