Key Responsibilities- Deliver High-Quality Patient Care: Provide proficient nursing care to patients with complex needs, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized plans of care.
- Lead and Mentor Colleagues: Assume a resource role for colleagues, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal patient outcomes and staff development.
- Contribute to Quality Improvement: Participate in unit-based committees and departmental initiatives to drive quality improvement, patient safety, and process excellence.
- Develop and Evaluate Clinical Practice: Stay current with best practices and evidence-based guidelines, applying knowledge to improve patient care and outcomes.
- Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Teams: Work effectively with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Education: Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a specialty area, with a strong focus on clinical expertise and leadership.
- Licenses and Certifications: RN licensure in the District of Columbia; CPR certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Electronic Fetal Monitoring Certification: Obtain EFM certification within 12 months of hire, with a 15-month timeframe for new graduate nurses or those new to the specialty.
- Leadership Experience: Previous experience in a leadership or resource role, with a strong track record of staff development and quality improvement.
