The Clinical Specialist plays a vital role as a clinical expert, educator, collaborator, consultant, leader, and researcher for a specific patient population or specialty area. Providing guidance on patient care practices and addressing complex care issues.

Department Highlights

Join the Women's and Infant Services team comprising Labor and Delivery, Level IIIB Neonatal Intensive Care, Neonatal Intermediate Nursery, and Mother/Baby units. With a focus on expert care for high-risk pregnancies and complex cases, our program ensures patients receive compassionate support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a source of clinical expertise and advice
  • Assess, implement, and evaluate clinical services
  • Support health care surveys and regulatory reviews
  • Participate in risk management and incorporate evidence into practice
  • Lead projects to enhance hospital performance

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's and Master's degree in Nursing (Required)
  • Doctoral degree in Nursing, Education, or Healthcare Administration (Preferred)
  • Active DC RN License
  • 5-7 years of progressive Nursing experience
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
