POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for the implementation of SAP related activities, including ongoing support within the Quality Systems Applications and Data Analysis group. This role requires proficiency in the analysis of solution design, project implementation and master data accuracy to support the Supply Chain Planning activities for Grifols Biologicals. Desired experience includes technical, functional and process expertise to drive strategic results for projects and initiatives within the Grifols organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Ensure Master Data accuracy in SAP under a quality driven environment, involving raw materials, manufactured products and finished goods in line with corporate data standards.
  2. Work collectively under a team driven environment to update requirements in SAP for Production Planning, Materials Management and Facilities. Strong emphasis in Segmentation, Serialization, Environmental Monitoring, Validation, Stability, Workflows and Notifications from SAP.
  3. Provides support to quality operations and quality control with the daily activities required in order to achieve lot release targets for finished goods.
  4. Perform duties related to processing and administering requests for data cleansing and standardization, identify areas of operational improvement by utilizing system functionality. Including metrics and report design.
  5. Maintain current knowledge of regulatory and industry standards.
  6. Generate thorough written reports, when required, that summarize investigations performed for out-of-specification results or out-of-procedure events.
  7. Participate in regulatory and internal inspections/audits including providing written responses as applicable for area of responsibility.
  8. Strict adherence to procedures and practices according to FDA regulations.
  9. Strong emphasis on documentation according to FDA regulations.
  10. Adhere to departmental corporate safety policies.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS & EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Material Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science or related scientific/ technical field is required.
  2. Related experience with ERP and APS systems in a pharmaceutical, GMP, or FDA regulated environment is preferred.
  3. In depth understanding of the fundamentals of service end modules in SAP is required. Relational database knowledge is preferred with platforms such as SAP, SQL and MS Access.
  4. In depth understanding of customer-focused support influenced by manufacturing requirements for handling Production Planning, Quality Management and Preventive Maintenance master Data, understanding how master data supports transactional processes and integration for production.
  5. Analytical skills, KPI Fundamentals, and spreadsheet analysis experience is preferred.
  6. Relational database knowledge is preferred with platforms such as SAP, SQL and MS Access.
  7. Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
  8. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to make structured decisions on a routine basis.
  9. Must be proactive, results oriented, and have strong attention to detail.
  10. Self-starter with strong work ethic and the ability to exercise good judgment.
  11. Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks to meet targeted deadlines.
  12. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with personnel at all levels in a team environment.
  13. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in the English language.
  14. Computer literacy with proficiency in MS Office (TEAMS, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  15. Strong Analytical abilities to identify issues related to master data, leveraging SAP Analytics Cloud integration to help make informed decisions for manufacturing

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  1. Ability to lift /move up to 25 pounds.
  2. Ability to sit for extended periods - up to four (4) hours at a time.
  3. Manual dexterity to perform all job functions.

The estimated pay scale for the Global Master Data Specialist role based in Los Angeles, CA, is $80k-$86k/per year. Additionally, the position is eligible to participate in up to 5% of the company bonus pool. Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on education, experience, skillset, knowledge, where the role is performed, internal equity and market data.
