Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Research Data Specialist II to join our team at the Smidt Heart Institute. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for managing data for assigned research studies, ensuring compliance with federal and local regulations, and collaborating with bioinformatics to develop and maintain clinical trials management systems.
Key Responsibilities- Data Management: Design and implement data collection forms, abstract clinical data, process data using various computer applications and database systems, and maintain accurate and secure records.
- Compliance and Regulatory Affairs: Ensure adherence to federal and local regulations, including FDA and Institutional Review Board guidelines, and maintain strict patient confidentiality according to HIPAA regulations.
- Collaboration and Training: Work with bioinformatics to develop and maintain clinical trials management systems, train clinical research staff to improve data quality, and participate in required training and education programs.
- Statistical Analysis: Perform basic statistical analysis in conjunction with a biostatistician to support research studies.
Educational Requirements: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education, training, and experience. Master's in Public Health preferred.
Experience: Two (2) years minimum experience in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
