What We Need
Symbotic is seeking a Senior Project Manager, Continuous Improvement (CI) to join our Quality team within our Manufacturing organization. The Senior CI PM will be responsible for guiding, mentoring, and coaching a broad range of stakeholders through the tools of continuous improvement, lean methodology and six-sigma to execute data-driven and measurable operational excellence.
What We Do
The Quality team is part of the Manufacturing organization which is responsible for driving continuous improvement practices of our systems' performance. Our quality team ensures that the products and processes meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and reliability. Their primary focus is to maintain consistency in the production of robots and automated systems that meet customer requirements and comply with industry standards. The quality team collaborates closely with various departments to ensure that quality is integrated throughout the entire product development and manufacturing lifecycle.
What You'll Do
Develop and execute and continuous improvement (CI) project selection program to create a strategic project roadmap. Execute strategic project roadmap priorities as identified by Symbotic leadership through Continuous Improvement best practices and frameworks such as Kaizen or DMAIC. Develop project controls such as charter, scope and objectives and use these controls for project reporting mechanisms to track and report project progress and realized objectives to Symbotic leadership. Be the expert, coach and mentor, to foster a continuous improvement and data driven culture which identifies waste and opportunities for improvement. Be a leader of people, guiding all personnel through change, and helping to build a culture of CI across the operations organization.Travel is required up to 50% of the time. Employee must have a valid driver's license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations. The employee is responsible to own a credit card and manage expenses personally to be reimbursed on a bi-weekly basis. What You'll Need Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience. Minimum of 7 years' experience with leading continuous improvement program and methodologies. Minimum of 3 years experience with high level project reporting and scheduling. Certification in Lean, Kaizen, and/or Six Sigma required. Black belt in continuous improvement preferred. Experience with change management. Other Considerations Up to 10% of travel may be required.
