Make a difference every day Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities / Duties:

Directly responsible for the management of Invesco's Global Travel Program including a team to include both an Invesco manager of operations as well as the dedicated resources provided through the Invesco global travel agency (currently American Express GBT).

Ability to analyze travel data to identify areas of opportunity, implement best practices and adjust policies accordingly.
Must have a focus on relevant metric and connect with expense models for consistency.
Ability to communicate and influence executive leadership in a professional, productive fashion.
This includes written and verbal communications.
Strong presentation skills are also necessary.
Must be able to develop strategic priorities and have a vision and plan for future accomplishments.
Effectively develop and implement policies and programs that realize savings while efficiently using Invesco resources.
Must be able to manage a high touch global firm.
Report on current travel trends, current states, future states, opportunities and pertinent information to senior executives.
Ability to compare the Invesco travel program to peers and best in class programs.

Work in collaboration with other business units to ensure their understanding of the travel program, any areas of opportunity and current state of budget, compliance, etc.

Communicate effectively with senior executives when travel challenges occur.

Use extensive professional knowledge and skills to work closely with global procurement on vendor contractsCoordinate directly with Invesco's global security team to ensure the safety and security of Invesco's employees and their clients.

Be familiar with protocols when there are any travel security concerns.

This position requires someone with strong technology knowledge and skills with a focus on travel technology to enhance the travel experience, promote compliance and reporting.

Work closely with Invesco's finance partners to develop and enforce travel policies in line with the firm's overall strategic goals.

Prioritize and distribute tasks within the team (both Invesco and the global travel agency) for effective meetings management while balancing work loads and project deadlinesAble to provide support and guidance to team members based on experience or industry knowledgeServes as an innovation and continuous improvement champion to improve group effectivenessAbility to work under pressure and prioritize timeAbility to make ethical judgment calls /protect Invesco's assets and resourcesSome travel may be required /meeting support may require extended hours of workWork Experience / Knowledge:

Must have experience with travel contract negotiations, knowledge of travel industry best practices and relationshipsHas established and maintained and acted as a lead with vendor relationshipsExperience or exposure to the investment or financial services industry is an asset but not requiredGood communication and interpersonal skills at many different levels in the organizationAble to construct a compelling case and present it concisely to senior managementAble to motivate others and obtain buy-inPrevious work experience with travel, expense and travel management systemsStrong Microsoft Office skills / exposure to analytic toolsLead a global team and work with individuals across departments at all levels.

The majority of the team are contractors so ability to manage 3rd parties effectively is critical.

None Working Conditions:
Normally works a regular schedule of hours, however hours may vary depending upon the project or assignment.

Hours may include evenings and/or weekends and may include 24 hour a day on call support by cell phone.
