Position Summary
The Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice invites applications for a full-time instructor to begin August 16, 2024. Appointments to the faculty of The University of Alabama are based on the personnel requirements of the University's academic programs and on the goal of achieving and maintaining excellence in its teaching, research, and service/academic citizenship activities.


Detailed Position Information
Standard responsibilities include teaching and some departmental service associated with instruction and/or advising. This position carries a three-year renewable contract. The Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice has a growing faculty and strong Bachelor's and Master's degree programs. Minimum Qualifications
Candidates with a Master's degree or J.D. will be considered, but a Ph.D. in a social science discipline related to the study of crime and justice is preferred. The ideal candidate will be able to teach a range of undergraduate courses in our Criminology & Criminal Justice major and/or our Cyber Criminology minor.


Preferred Qualifications
Ph.D. in social science discipline is preferred.
