The incumbent is responsible for the implementation and support of multi-service software packages that automate the capture of clinical encounter information and its subsequent retrieval.

Incumbent coordinates implementation of new software products obtained by the facility that cover these functions. Develops implementation plans, project management plans, runs meetings, collects and reports data and reports as necessary.
Assists staff in the efficient use of the current software.

Serves on medical center teams, wherever and whenever management determines the skills and talents of the incumbent would be best utilized.

Coordinates with Information Technology (IT) staff and other application coordinators to implement and upgrade integrated packages, resolve conflicts, provide secondary support on related software modules, and insure smooth operations in areas where package scope overlaps or is integrated with other services' functions.

Works with department chiefs, clinical leaders and staff providing consultation on integration of information systems implementation with clinical, business and administrative systems redesign as an integral function to clinical application management, training and implementation.

Promote an awareness of the importance of data validity, data security and complies with all relevant Privacy Acts, HIPAA rules, and computer related policies and procedures.
