Position Overview: RN Charge Nurse - Cardiac Full Time Days

This role involves coordinating various functions and activities within a specific departmental capacity. The RN Charge Nurse is responsible for overseeing a clinic unit, managing scheduling for unit RNs, and serving as a liaison with both internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, this position entails establishing and implementing plans and processes to ensure compliance with regulatory standards while providing training and support to staff.

Key Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, capacity to drive effective change, manage departmental budgets, and make independent decisions in high-pressure situations.

Supervision: Oversight of other healthcare team members.

Qualifications:

Minimum Education: Nursing Degree from an accredited institution.

Preferred Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Minimum Experience: Two years of relevant clinical nursing experience; for Level II EQ Only: a minimum of two years of current Level III NICU experience, including neonatal ventilator.

Preferred Experience: Two years of management experience with supervisory responsibilities. Certification in a specialty area of practice is desirable.

Required Certifications/Licensure: Valid Registered Nurse license in the State of Arizona, CPR, ACLS as applicable by Facility/Department.

-ER, ICU, Endoscopy, Tele, Cardiac Cath Lab, L&D: ACLS required upon orientation completion.
-ER: PALS or ENPC required or must obtain within ninety days.
-PACU: ACLS required or must obtain within six months of hire, PALS preferred.
-Post-partum, Nursery, L&D: NRP required upon orientation completion.
-Bariatrics: Certification or specialized training in bariatrics specialty area of practice.
-Wound Care: Wound-Ostomy Certification or Training in Wound Care and/or Ostomy Care.

Required Course(s) Training: L&D only: Advanced Fetal Monitoring or must obtain within six months of hire.
