Position Overview: RN Charge Nurse - Cardiac Care (Full Time, Days)

The RN Charge Nurse is responsible for coordinating activities and functions within a specific department. This role includes overseeing a clinic unit, managing scheduling for unit RNs, and serving as a liaison with both internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, the RN Charge Nurse is accountable for developing and implementing plans and processes to ensure compliance with regulatory standards while providing training and support to staff.

Key Competencies: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to effectively drive change and manage departmental budgets, and the capacity to make independent decisions in high-pressure situations.

Supervision: This role supervises other members of the healthcare team.

Qualifications:

Minimum Education: Nursing Degree from an accredited institution.

Preferred Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Minimum Experience: At least two years of relevant clinical nursing experience; for Level II EQ Only: a minimum of two years of current Level III NICU experience, including neonatal ventilator management.

Preferred Experience: Two years of management experience with supervisory responsibilities. Certification in a specialty area of practice is advantageous.

Required Certifications/Licensure: Valid Registered Nurse license in the State of Arizona, CPR, ACLS as applicable by department.

Required Training: Specific certifications may be required based on department needs.
