Job Objective:
Provides strategic leadership and manages the implementation of all aspects of Marketing natural gas and natural gas liquids for Hilcorp's Lower 48 properties.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
  • Manages and supervises the L48 gas and NGL marketing group (L48 group) for the company to achieve goals within available resources; plans and organizes workloads and staff assignments; trains, motivates, and evaluates assigned staff; and reviews progress and directs changes as needed.
  • Provides leadership, coordination, and implementation of L48 marketing group tasks with multi-disciplined, professional team.
  • Learns and retains the details of the individual properties for marketing purposes and runs the L48 group with responsibility for market analysis, sales, processing and treating contract negotiations, and scheduling, as well as coordination with other disciplines (Operations, Land, Legal, A & D, Accounting, etc.)
  • Establishes and maintains favorable relationships and networks with customers.
  • Develops and implements both short and long-term marketing strategies to increase profits for the company and executes those strategies to add significant value.
  • Adheres to the company values- integrity, ownership, urgency, alignment and innovation.
  • Supports company vision and mission.
  • Adheres to established work schedule, attendance standards and is punctual to work and meetings.
Other Job Responsibilities:
  • Serves on senior management team to provide input and strategies for company's overall management and profitability.
  • Provides leadership and direction in the development of short and long range plans; gathers, interprets, and prepares data for studies, reports, and recommendations; coordinates department activities with other departments and work groups and assimilates data and implementation into transactions.
  • Ability to be available 24 hours per day (on call for questions, emergencies, etc.).
  • Maintains employee confidence and protects company assets, including intellectual property, by keeping information confidential.
  • Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
  • Fifteen (15) years minimum of gas and NGL marketing experience with success at increasingly difficult responsibilities and the ability to lead 10-20 people.
  • Excellent knowledge of L48 gas and NGL pipeline networks
  • Ability to solve problems accurately and negotiate satisfactory solutions and compromises.
  • Ability to channel competitive intelligence into transactions.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, officials, and the public.
  • Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with specific ability to translate financial information into an organized and presentable manner.
  • Outstanding management, administrative, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in the use and application of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook).
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year university or college with a degree in business, finance, or engineering.
  • MBA preferred.
