Job Description

The University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for a Prevention and Education Specialist (PES) for The Office of Equal Opportunity and Title IX (EOTIX).

The Office of Equal Opportunity and Title IX (EOTIX) provides a single location and the University of Nevada, Reno for reporting and investigating all complaints related to prohibited discrimination and harassment. The Office supports the University's compliance with federal and state laws regarding discrimination and harassment and equal employment opportunity. The Office Equal Opportunity and Title IX provides advice, support and strategic partnership to department and units across campus in order to ensure fair, productive and healthy work atmospheres. It also ensures compliances with the University's collective bargaining agreements, performs investigation, implements employee disciplines and facilitates the University's employee grievance processes.

The Prevention and Education Specialist (PES) will support the EOTIX's staff responsible for the University's response to reports of sex discrimination, sexual assault, sexual harassment, stalking, and intimate partner violence. This includes assisting with remedial measures support and training. The PES will perform a wide range of administrative and business management functions primarily related to providing campus-wide training initiatives regarding discrimination, case management, and coordination of EOTIX messaging related to Title IX and sexual misconduct.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and two (2) years of related work experience; OR

Master's degree and one (1) year of related work experience

Related Experience: Training design and presentation experience, Programming experience or related.

Schedule and Travel Requirements

Variable work schedule and Occasional travel may be required
