Title Management Clerk

Carvana is seeking a Part-Time Vehicle Title Specialist to become a vital member of our administrative team. Reporting directly to the Office Manager, the Title Specialist is responsible for managing incoming vehicle titles, ensuring their transferability to buyers with precision and efficiency.
Schedule: Tuesday to Thursday, 9 AM to 4:30 PM, approximately 22-23 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide prompt, efficient, and courteous service to customers. Notify the Office Manager of any unresolved title challenges.
- Address incoming inquiries from dealer representatives regarding title issues and questions.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and organized workspace, greeting all visitors warmly.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring a friendly atmosphere as customers enter and engage with our services.
- Handle customer complaints with professionalism and courtesy, escalating serious issues to the Office Manager.
- Verify vehicle identification numbers (VINs) against documentation such as AMS, MV50s, and lien releases, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Compile daily reports, customer worksheets, vehicle inventories, and title absence lists at the end of auction days.
- Keep detailed notes on outstanding title issues to facilitate timely resolutions.
- Process dealer payments, including checks and money orders, while providing receipts.
- Stay informed about DMV regulations and laws pertaining to vehicle titles.
- Foster a collaborative team environment, exemplifying positive attitude and performance.
- Respond appropriately to employee and customer incidents, reporting all occurrences to management.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Prior experience in title processing and accounts receivable is essential.
- Experience in a dealership or auction setting is highly desirable.
- Strong customer service skills are required.
- Proficiency in cash handling is necessary.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English, with a keen attention to detail.

- A valid driver's license and the ability to operate a motor vehicle are required.
