A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A Clinical Services, Order Entry Specialist

This role will be responsible for clinical data entry for the Clinical Services team. The position will ensure that the highest standards for clinical data integrity and quality are maintained, aligning with Clinical Services' efforts aimed at improving the treatment, health, and medical outcomes for patients. This role will also be responsible for the evaluation of clinical test orders and the associated data entry in the laboratory information management system for accuracy and completion. The top activities of this role include reviewing submitted test orders for appropriateness and completeness, creating and managing patient test orders, updating current cases while attaching relevant documents, and ensuring timely entry of test orders.

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent or work experience equivalentKnowledge of medical terminology and pathologyAbility to type with attention to detail and accuracy.Strong computer literacy is required.Attention to detail.Ability to meet daily quotas.Experience following and/or developing SOPs.Excellent reading skillsActively display characteristics that support the mission, vision, and values of Castle Biosciences.Preferred RequirementsBachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in laboratory or medical field preferredAbility to type at least 40-50 WPM.*Please see the attached job description for additional roles, responsibilities, and requirements.
