Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately triage, interpret, and input medication orders into the computerized medication order system while adhering to pharmacy productivity and accuracy standards. Review and correct discrepancies as necessary.
- Conduct drug calculations, including basic mathematical conversions (e.g., milligrams).
- Address issues related to claim denials identified during adjudication and follow up on claims in the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Medicaid claim regulations and processes.
- Generate reports and keep management informed about unpaid claims and those pending follow-up.
- Provide outstanding customer service to both external and internal clients in alignment with company values.
- Assist with drug preparation and dispensing under the direct supervision of a licensed Pharmacist.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned, which may include supporting various areas of the pharmacy as directed by management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Relevant pharmacy experience.
- Basic understanding of pharmaceuticals, medication terminology, and the metric system; proficiency in computer operations.
- Licenses/Certifications as required by state regulations and business needs.
- Detail-oriented, goal-driven, team player with strong customer service and communication skills.
