PROCUREMENT SPEICALIST:

This position is located at the company's corporate office. The company is known for rewarding its employees well and being an employee friendly company. They have proven to be recession proof and emerged from covid even stronger than before. Complete with free lunches on Mondays, they know how to have fun but accomplish their goals. This company is expanding rapidly.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare proposals, request quotes, and negotiate purchase terms and conditions.
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders and agreements.
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues and concerns.
  • Inspect and evaluate the quality of purchased items and resolve shortcomings.
  • Analyze industry and demand trends and support senior management with the development and implementation of sourcing strategies.
  • Organize and own all sourcing projects to keep the current database up to date and add new suppliers as needed.
  • Organize and own all bids for finished goods, and packaging.

Requirements and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Economics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in procurement management within the food and beverage industry is preferred.
  • Good working knowledge of purchasing strategies.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Must have expert experience in Excel (creating formulas, using lookups, and more).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and business application software, purchasing, and resource planning systems.
  • Strong Mathematics skills and financial forecasting capabilities
