Job Overview

The Procurement Specialist plays a crucial role in the acquisition of essential components, including active, passive, and electro-mechanical parts, under the guidance of management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the procurement process for various components while adhering to company policies.

  • Negotiate and oversee purchase agreements to meet quality, pricing, and delivery standards.
  • Conduct supplier evaluations and analyze outcomes to identify potential new suppliers, significantly influencing future procurement strategies.
  • Utilize expertise to secure optimal pricing aligned with specified requirements.
  • Prepare and submit requests for quotations and purchase requisitions.
  • Suggest improvements to enhance tracking and reporting systems for procurement activities; monitor agreements and resolve issues or escalate to management as necessary.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with supplier representatives.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with all departments requiring purchasing assistance.
  • Compile weekly metrics related to purchasing policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Ensure compliance with all established purchasing policies and company regulations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or at least 6 years of experience in procurement within an electronics manufacturing setting.
  • Strong skills in supplier relations and sourcing.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Familiarity with applicable laws, regulations, and standard practices in purchasing and contract management.
