Overview:

As a Procurement Specialist, you will be integral to the purchasing process, tasked with identifying, assessing, and negotiating with vendors to secure optimal terms for the products and services vital to our operations.

Your role will emphasize cultivating robust relationships with vendors, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery to support Group O's strategic objectives.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct market research to identify potential vendors through industry networks and trade exhibitions.
  • Assess vendors based on quality, pricing, reliability, and delivery capabilities.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions, including pricing, delivery timelines, and payment terms to secure the best value for the organization while upholding quality standards.
  • Manage documentation related to vendors and quotations, ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Monitor vendor performance through key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics, addressing any issues related to quality, delivery, or cost.
  • Establish and maintain item and vendor information, as well as manage supplier costs within the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to align procurement strategies with business objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements in the procurement cycle, leveraging industry best practices and innovative solutions.
  • Stay updated on market trends, pricing variations, and supply chain advancements to proactively adjust procurement strategies.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma
  • Relevant experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management.
  • Attention to detail in reviewing contracts and vendor evaluations.
  • Ability to foster and maintain strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Capacity to develop and implement effective procurement strategies.
  • Flexibility to adapt to evolving market conditions and organizational needs.
  • Commitment to ethical procurement practices and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
