HR Data and Payroll Analyst

Role description:

Payroll and HR Data Analyst provides analytical and technical support for Payroll and HR systems and initiatives. This includes identifying trends, streamlining processes and leading audit requests.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily reconciliation of payroll tax and garnishments
  • Lead data audits across the payroll system including other inputs and outputs of that system
  • Compile data for requests across HR functions
  • Reviews and analyse data, setups, and reporting to ensure data is accurately capture and reported
  • Work with stakeholders to develop and streamline processes to confirm data validity and maintain data integrity
  • Ensure SOX compliance by supporting internal and external auditor requests
  • Test systems and assist as needed
  • Provide excellent customer service and assistance to employees, HR team, business functions, and external customers, providing timely and complete responses and follow-up to questions and information requests
  • Assist with special projects and performs other job-related duties as assigned

Minimum skills / qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, human resources, information systems, or a related field
  • Five (5) years of Data Analytics experience
  • Proven experience in SOX audit/compliance
  • Ability to proactively identify problems and take steps to solve issues and updated processes as needed.
  • Experience with time and attendance and HRIS
  • Customer-centric focus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to compose and deliver communication materials to all levels of the organization
  • Ability to multi-task and manage day to day job duties while also completing special projects on time and accurately
  • Effective technical skills required Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel (emphasis on Excel proficiency – v-lookups, and pivot tables)
  • Ability to travel up to 10%

Preferred skills / qualifications:

  • Prior experience in with Payroll, Payroll Tax or 401k
  • Experience with continuous improvement concepts or methodologies
  • Experience with PeopleSoft, ADP WFN/Vantage/Global View, and Kronos
  • Zendesk or other ticket management experience
