About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Human Resources Data Analyst to join our team at the State of Washington. As an HR Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in tracking, monitoring, and reporting key HR metrics to support data-driven decision making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain the HR dashboard for metric tracking, providing real-time insights into HR data.
  • Compile and analyze HR data from various sources, including internal tracking spreadsheets, HRMS, surveys, and other relevant platforms.
  • Generate regular reports and develop data visualizations to communicate HR metrics and trends to stakeholders.
  • Provide professional-level HR consultation and guidance to agency staff, including support for HR-related projects and initiatives.
  • Maintain the HR intranet page and internal postings, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information is available to employees.
  • Assist with project coordination for HR team projects, ensuring timely and effective delivery of results.
  • Establish and maintain records in accordance with the state records retention schedule, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Act as the point of contact for state archives and assist with public disclosure requests, ensuring timely and accurate responses to inquiries.
  • Serve as the HR team liaison with other internal departments, including OneWA implementation, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Provide backup support to peer HR Consultants, ensuring seamless delivery of HR services to agency staff.
Requirements
  • Four (4) years of full-time professional work experience in human resources or an office administrative setting, including data collection, reporting, or analysis, metrics tracking, and/or report building.
  • A bachelor's degree with a focus on human resources, statistics, business administration, or a related field from an accredited institution whose accreditation is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council of Higher Education Accreditation or a foreign equivalent.
  • Intermediate competency level with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree with a focus on human resources.
  • Certification in HR analytics or a related field.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Power BI or similar software.
  • Advanced or above competency level with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
