Job Summary

Indiana Members Credit Union is seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Generalist to join our team. As a key member of our HR department, you will play a crucial role in supporting and managing various human resources functions, ensuring the smooth operation of HR processes, and providing guidance and support to employees and management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Employee Relations: Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting employee engagement and well-being.
  • Time System/Payroll Processing: Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll and time-off requests.
  • Benefit Administration: Manage employee benefits, including enrollment, changes, and terminations.
  • Performance Management: Develop and implement performance management processes, including goal setting, evaluations, and coaching.
  • Compliance with Labor Laws: Stay up-to-date on labor laws and regulations, ensuring compliance and minimizing risk.
  • Implementation of HR Policies and Procedures: Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures, ensuring consistency and fairness.
  • Onboarding and Offboarding: Coordinate the onboarding process for new employees, including setup on all processing systems, and ensure a smooth offboarding process for departing employees.
  • HRIS Management: Maintain and update HRIS systems, ensuring accurate and up-to-date employee data.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Provide regular reporting and analytics to management, including metrics on employee engagement, turnover, and other key HR metrics.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in human resources, with a focus on generalist roles.
  • Skills: Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS systems, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
