Clinical Supply & Delivery (CSD) function is accountable for partnering with drug development teams, clinical, CM&C, and the broader Clinical Supply and Delivery Organization to enable innovative supply chain solutions and speed the delivery of clinical trial materials for patients. This is accomplished by creating and maintaining accurate, usable Master Data in the SAP system along with FING Specification documents.

Over the past decade, Eli Lilly and Company has pursued a strategy to use a single instance of our ERP system, SAP. One of the key aspects to effectively and efficiently use SAP is to have solid and sustainable master data management practices in place. Master data is the fuel that allows SAP to run, and without relevant, accurate, and complete master data, our single instance of SAP cannot be used.

A key role in the operational level of master data management is the role of the Local Data Analyst. The Local Data Analyst creates, changes, and maintains local plant master data applying established processes and serves as a key technical resource at the operational level. The Local Data Analyst drives master data solutions for the local site and ensures master data management processes lead to consistent and accurate master data for site and supply chain operations.Key Responsibilities:

Implementing key data maintenance and data design for master data in SAP and associated systemsCreating and maintaining local formal Standard Operating Procedures and training materials.Determining impact of local and /or global changes while ensuring global data consistency and conformance to Standard Operating Procedures. These changes could include: SAP Master Data Maintenance ChangesInterfaced system changesProcess changes driven by Technical Services / Manufacturing Sciences or engineering.Regulatory changes requiring data updates.Supply changes driven by Production and / or Local Product OwnersIdentifying and being involved in or leading process improvement initiatives which could include:Developing and maintaining DSP – Data Steward Platform flows,Applying systems for improved maintenance efficiencyUsing appropriate tools and reports to track maintenance efforts and data accuracy and completenessWhere applicable, participating in annual standard costing assessment in readiness for Business Planning and driving the annual reviews of planning parameter and other key fields.Troubleshooting SAP and other area systems for execution problems (which could include logging formal IT incidents), identifying root causes, and implementing solutions.Investigating deviations and providing impact assessments for change management.Contributing to global initiatives for Master Data Management as required and attending select power user forums to share best practices with peers.Maintaining a safe work environment, working safely and accountable for supporting all Health Safety and Environmental Corporate and Site Goals.Maintain ownership and emphasis on quality, ensuring quality in all daily activities. Demonstrate engagement and employ a quality approach in all endeavors by proactively identifying quality issues, perform change controls, lead investigations, and communicate appropriately.Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree in a scientific field (i.e., supply chain, computer systems, engineering, science preferred) or equivalent work experience.3-5 years Lilly or industry experience in supply chain or data managementAdditional Skills / Preferences:Site / Manufacturing / or Sales affiliate knowledge or equivalent data management experienceKnowledge in ERP software (preferably SAP)SAP/master data experience in master data creation, change, and maintenance.Depth and breadth of expertise within Supply Chain integration with level 3 systems (i.e., CT-Win, Trackwise, Veeva Vaults, Precisely) and Data ManagementSupply Chain Knowledge – APICS certification Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States.
