As part of Guy Carpenter, a subsidiary of Marsh & McLennan Companies, GC Capital & Advisory provides advice and execution on structured risk transfer, capital management and M&A/strategic solutions to the (re)insurance industry.

We are currently seeking an experienced Assistant Vice President to join the GC Capital & Advisory team in NY.

What to expect:

You will contribute to developing in-depth sector and financial analysis across various investment banking projects for our clients.

You will support the team by assisting in both originating and executing M&A and capital-raising projects by developing differentiated strategic insights and financial analyses.

We will count on you to:

Support assessment of various M&A and capital-raising transactions and structures depending on the needs of the clients, including buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions, joint ventures, new company formations, capital raising for new and established companies across the capital stack (debt, equity, preferred, )
Analyze financial statements, assess business and industry risks and evaluate M&A or capital-driven business strategy.

Assist in developing analysis on a pro forma or forecasted basis to advise clients on strategic, financial and rating agency impact of decisions associated with M&A or capital-raising.

Work with clients and third-party service partners, including preparing transaction marketing materials, conducting outreach to potential M&A counterparties/investors, coordinating auction/due diligence processes, drafting term sheets and reviewing legal documentation.

Support other colleagues of GC Securities on ILS transactions and legacy solutions

The applicable base salary range for this role is $84,700 to $155,400.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements.

Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
