Job Description:

We are seeking a talented Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our NS&E engineering execution center team. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, a proactive attitude, and a passion for innovative design. In this role, you will be responsible for developing Mechanical systems and equipment for various projects in sectors such as DOD and DOE. Our team is dedicated to delivering high-quality work that meets project requirements and exceeds client expectations. This position is based in Knoxville, TN with occasional business travel.

Responsibilities:

  • Originate and revise Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), calculations, data sheets, and specifications.
  • Design mechanical components and processes following engineering guidelines.
  • Provide technical assistance to project teams and clients.
  • Support project cost and schedule estimates.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 5-8 years of relevant work experience
  • U.S. Citizen
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience with quality assurance programs
  • Prior Bechtel or DOD/DOE project experience
