You will oversee multiple significant projects characterized by complex features, acting as a technical lead. Key Responsibilities:

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer - Chemical Process Piping at Barge Design Solutions, your role will be crucial in leading and contributing to major projects within your specialized discipline. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Creating and documenting technical solutions specific to your discipline.
    Maintaining and managing project documentation with a high level of detail.
  • Offering technical leadership on large, intricate projects, assisting project managers as a technical advisor on potential challenges, and engaging in the research and development of solutions to engineering and technical issues.
  • Evaluating project documents for compliance and ensuring quality assurance.
  • Guiding junior engineers and reviewing their work to ensure quality standards.
  • Facilitating complex technical discussions with clients and stakeholders.
  • Building strong relationships with clients, customers, officials, contractors, and other collaborators.
    Performing additional duties as assigned.
Education & Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 5 years of engineering experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration is preferred.
  • Expertise in Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams, Process Simulations (ChemCAD/ASPEN), Heat and Material Balance (HMB), Physical/Chemical Property Assessment, Process Safety Management (PSM), Equipment Specifications - Data Sheets, Hydraulic Pump Calculations, Air Emission and Waste Generation Estimates, Safety Relief Device, and Vent Piping Calculations.
