Overview

SOSi, a leader in delivering transformational technology, operations, and logistics solutions to federal defense, civilian, and intelligence agencies is seeking a Deputy Program Manager for a large federal language services program. SOSi supports the customer by providing interpretation, sight and document translation, transcription/ translation of recordings, and computer aided real-time transcription (CART) services. The customer requires language interpreter services to augment its in-house staff. These services are required for immigration court proceedings on an as-needed basis throughout the fifty United States, the District of Columbia, and U.S. territories including, but not limited to, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, the Mariana Islands, and Guam. Provide all management and supervision, labor, and supplies necessary to perform on-site and scheduled telephonic interpreter services in multiple foreign languages for DOJ EOIR on an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity task order basis.

Essential Job Duties

  • Serves as the principal assistant to the Program Manager who is responsible for the program success of one or more contracts, subcontracts or task orders
  • Coordinates with the Program Manager, organizes, directs, and controls program-wide operational and administrative staff activities to meet client, contract, and internal stakeholder (e.g., business unit and corporate) requirements
  • Assists the Program Manager to develop and deploy Performance Management program capabilities and applications that contribute to the achievement of business, program, and contract objectives
  • Oversees daily performance of the Resource and Fulfillment Operations Managers, their subordinate Supervisors and their teams to ensure program requirements are met in accordance with the contract statement of work (SOW) at best value
  • Provides program-wide oversight of all resources and activities associated with program performance, specifically within and across the Resource and Fulfillment Operations
  • Communicates directly with customer operational and program leads as required (or delegates and provides oversight, accordingly) to maintain a good, effective working customer relationship
  • Holds operational meetings as required to discuss operations and support personnel performance to identify program deficiencies and propose potential solutions
  • Assures quality of program products, services, and deliverables, including participating in reviews, audits, and site visits
  • Reviews and verifies data in monthly status reports including work completed, deliverable schedules, funding balances, and problems resolved
  • Develops, reviews, coordinates, and solves problems related to contractual, operational, financial, and billing actions for assigned program and projects
  • Performs financial management support services for program areas such as invoice and funding document problem resolution, financial analyses, budget and cost quote coordination
  • Prepares and provides reports and program/project reviews and reforecasts to the client
  • Assists with the development of systems, processes and tools to enhance program performance
  • Coordinates directly with business unit and corporate functional support teams to include Information Technology (IT), Office of the Chief Technology Officer (OCTO), Recruiting, HR, Finance, Procurement, and Travel departments to facilitate achievement of overall program objectives
  • Identifies new business opportunities and performs business development activities including the writing, preparation, and review of management, technical and cost proposals
  • Performs administrative tasks as required to achieve assigned duties and responsibilities
  • Ensures compliance with relevant corporate and government policies
  • Participates in special projects as required

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business management or related field or equivalent knowledge, skills, abilities and experience at the mid- to senior career level
  • Program, Project, and/or Operations Management experience supporting large, complex resource, fulfillment, and finance operations involving dynamic and challenging work requirements
  • 10 years of related managerial and supervisory experience.
