Description:This is your chance to work on some of the biggest deals in Transportation We are looking for an attorney to lead support for the team that manages our relationships with the carriers who deliver millions of packages to our customers in North America. You will be an integral part of our Transportation business, giving input on strategy in addition to serving as lead counsel on a broad range of regulatory matters and high value, high impact transactions.

Key job responsibilities

This attorney will:

  • Be a leader within the business teams they support.
  • Collaborate internally to develop processes that address risk and allow the business flexibility and freedom to move quickly.
  • Handle legal issues in creative, business-centric ways.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to engage with internal and external stakeholders, earning trust and building relationships.
  • Some travel, domestic and international, will be required.

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

  • J.D. degree from an accredited law school and active membership in one state bar.
  • 10+ years of legal experience at a law firm, corporation, military, or similar experience.
  • Strong transactional experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations.
  • Ability to work independently while being able to contribute successfully to cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects at once, follow through, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
