Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Maintain Compliance Strategies: Create and implement comprehensive compliance strategies to ensure Veeam Software's adherence to data privacy laws and regulations.
  • Regulatory Liaison: Act as the primary liaison with regional regulators on privacy matters, ensuring seamless communication and compliance.
  • Contract Negotiation and Drafting: Negotiate terms of contracts and draft agreements that align with Veeam Software's data protection and compliance goals.
  • Risk Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct systematic risk assessments and evaluate technical and organizational measures to ensure Veeam Software's data protection and compliance posture.
  • Government Bids and Tenders: Advise on government bids and tenders internationally, ensuring compliance with data privacy laws and regulations.
  • External Counsel Relationships: Manage external counsel relationships and interface with the Corporate Compliance team to ensure effective collaboration and compliance.
Requirements
  • 5+ Years of Experience: Possess 5+ years of experience in a legal role focusing on data privacy and/or government affairs.
  • Juris Doctorate Degree: Hold a Juris Doctorate Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Technical Knowledge: Possess in-depth technical knowledge and experience in relevant data privacy laws and regulations.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with government regulations, specifically those impacting the technology software industry.
  • Regulatory Data Sources: Knowledge of relevant regulatory data sources.
  • Analytic Thinking: Possess an analytic thinker and ability to problem-solve and balance multiple projects and priorities.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to inspire, collaborate, and manage internal relationships and cultivate partnerships across functions and regions.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Project Management: Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives and project teams.
  • Business Acumen: Strong business and financial acumen.
  • Microsoft Office: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
