Sony Electronics has an exciting opportunity for a Media Manager in our San Diego headquarters, responsible for leading the success of paid media programs to include paid search, display, social, mobile and video campaigns for Sony Electronics in the United States and Canada. Do you have a passion for technology and digital media?

Responsibilities:
  • Develop full funnel paid media strategy/programs to include paid search, display, social, mobile, video, and for Sony Electronics in the United States and Canada
    • Incorporate research, sales, and other data into media planning.
    • Evaluate media partners and seek out opportunities to achieve business goals and stay ahead of competitors.
    • Act as the point of contact between media partners, media agencies and Sony Electronics
  • Create Amazon advertising strategies (search and display) to maximize investments and align with business needs
    • Stay current on latest trends and best practices for Amazon advertising
    • Provide reporting and insights on campaign reporting to management
  • Execute media campaigns (either directly or through agency), monitor results and provide recommendations for optimizations
  • Align with business strategy to explore, recommend, and execute media strategy and buying across digital channels.
  • Work with Customer Marketing team to optimize campaigns and reporting results with the goal of maximizing efficiency, awareness and return on ad spend and/or key performance indicators.
  • Ensure directional alignment in the context of sales performance results.
  • Build strong relationships with team members in the category Business Unit and establish clear and proactive lines of communication with partners and other Sony team members.
  • Heavy focus in analyzing media performance reports, and
  • Work in close coordination with the Direct to Consumer team, Creative team, Content team, Customer Marketing team, Channel Marketing team, Retail account team and others to maximize impact of activities.
  • Remain aware of industry advertising technology developments and innovations and provide thought leadership in digital media
  • Work with Finance team and Media Billing lead to ensure proper media billing and maintain forecast accuracy
  • Ability to work seamlessly with the programmatic media team to build well-rounded paid media campaigns
Minimum Requirements:
  • 4 - 6 years of developing and leading paid media initiatives and strategies with a proven track record of results.
  • Multichannel media experience (paid search/social/display) and experience across creative types (display, native, video, etc.)
  • Experience with Amazon marketing campaigns including display, sponsored products
  • Solid understanding of campaign metrics and ability to analyze reporting and provide actionable insights
  • Working knowledge of programmatic buying
  • Working knowledge of CDP and DMP capabilities
  • Working knowledge of audience data as it relates to paid media campaigns
  • Sound business acumen, financial analysis skills, strategic skills and ability to work cross-functionally
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and project management skills.
  • Inquisitive, thoughtful, collaborative, and service-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience in advertising technology industry, developments, issues and tools (Google Adwords, FB Business Manager, Amazon Ads Platform).
  • Agency management experience (media agency experience a plus)
  • Success in client (internal or external) development and service.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently to successful completion within tight deadlines.
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
  • High competency level in Excel and PowerPoint.

The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $111,108 to $ 148,143 . This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.

In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for a bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package including healthcare benefits (medical, dental, and vision), paid medical leave after three months of employment, a 401k plan with matching company contributions, vacation time, education assistance, student loan assistance program, eighty hours of paid sick leave time annually, and up to twelve weeks paid parental leave after six months of employment.
