Job Purpose

The Marketing & Insights team supports an array of divisions within BBC Studios including Digital News & Streaming and Content Sales. This department works cross functionally to deliver work rooted in insights and creativity to promote the BBC's award-winning content and expand our footprint.

The Marketing Manager will support commercial objectives, key B2B initiatives, and FAST channels across BBC Studios. This role will focus on the creation and execution of materials for Content Sales and trade events as well as marketing across our FAST portfolio delivering on business KPIs, across all genres. The ideal candidate is ambitious, passionate about television and a creative marketer.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
  • Write briefs to fulfill marketing needs for B2B presentations and trade events
  • Create pitch presentations and one-sheets for Sales that showcase market differentiation and drive demand
  • Crafting key selling points, narrative, copywriting and desk research
  • Oversee the creation of B2B art, trailers and EPK working closely with our in-house creative team to ensure success of materials in the market
  • Devise Sales events strategy in North America that complements global trade plans
  • Manage and execute events; including the develop of assets
  • Collaborate with the UK Genre Brands teams on assets and strategy
  • Partner closely with Sales to understand all needs, strategize around titles and partners and create ad hoc materials
  • Develop strategy and assets for FAST channels and marketing initiatives
  • Track all projects back to team and business KPIs
  • Manage delivery of creative assets to partners and internal stakeholders
Knowledge, Skills, Training & Experience
  • 6-8 years of experience in the entertainment industry, preferably with B2B marketing and trade event experience
  • Familiarity with BBC programming and British television programming in general a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem resolution skills, as well as the ability to anticipate and direct the next steps needed
  • Self-starter and a resourceful individual
  • Excellent project management skills and multi-tasking abilities
  • Must have strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proactive, collaborative team player

Compensation

The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $70k to $80k. This range does not include other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and geographic location of the position.
