Position Overview:


The Director of Operations and Maintenance for Energy Storage Power Stations in North America is responsible for managing and optimizing the daily operation and maintenance of energy storage power stations, particularly addressing post-sales issues related to energy storage system integration, packs, and battery cells.

This position requires a profound technical background and extensive management experience to ensure the efficient operation and outstanding performance of the energy storage system.



Main Responsibilities:

System Operation and Maintenance:

  • Oversee the daily operation of energy storage power stations to ensure that equipment and systems operate stably as per design requirements.
  • Implement and optimize the operation strategies after system integration to ensure the overall performance of the equipment reaches the best state.

After-sales Support and Problem-solving:

  • Handle post-sales issues after energy storage system integration, including system functionality, performance optimization, and troubleshooting.
  • Address postsales problems of packs and battery cells, including but not limited to battery cell performance issues, repair and replacement of battery cells, to ensure the stability and reliability of the system.

Maintenance Strategy and Execution:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive preventive and corrective maintenance plans, with a focus on equipment and battery cell maintenance after energy storage system integration.
  • Ensure that all maintenance work complies with industry standards and manufacturer recommendations to minimize downtime and failure occurrences.

Team Management and Development:

  • Lead and develop the operation and maintenance team, including technicians and engineers, providing necessary training and support.
  • Set team goals, evaluate employee performance, and promote teamwork and technical improvement.

Budget and Resource Management:

  • Manage the operation budget and resource allocation to ensure that operating costs are controlled within the predefined range and resources are utilized optimally.
  • Monitor and report on budget execution and make timely adjustments to meet actual needs.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Ensure that all operations comply with relevant safety and environmental regulations and implement necessary safety measures.
  • Maintain a good safety record and promote the establishment of a safety culture.

Technical Support and Innovation:

  • Track and apply the latest energy storage technologies and industry developments to enhance system performance and reliability.
  • Actively identify opportunities for technical improvement and drive technological innovation and process optimization.

Communication with Customers and Stakeholders:

  • Maintain close communication with customers and other stakeholders to understand their needs and feedback and solve problems promptly.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to ensure that all parties have a clear understanding of the system operation and maintenance situation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, master's degree preferred.
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience in the energy or energy storage field, including more than 3 years of management experience.
  • Have indepth knowledge of energy storage system integration, packs, and battery cell technologies, as well as extensive aftersales support experience.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, capable of effectively guiding and motivating the team.
  • Outstanding communication and problemsolving skills, able to handle complex technical challenges.
  • Strong focus on safety, compliance, and quality control, and possession of relevant certifications (such as OSHA) is preferred.
  • Familiarity with North American laws and regulations and market needs, and the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing industry environment.
