Position Overview:

Be part of the dynamic team at Oceaneering Marine Services and contribute to our expanding submarine projects. We are seeking a skilled project manager to oversee our submarine initiatives, requiring excellent communication skills and adept leadership qualities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage ship projects, contracts, and delivery orders ensuring top-tier technical standards and documenting outcomes in Safety, Quality, Schedule, and Cost.
  • Enhance all facets of project management, encompassing marketing, production processes, quality controls, cost management, and staffing resources.
  • Collaborate in devising marketing strategies, sales tactics, and objectives to foster continual growth.
  • Support bid and proposal processes by creating quotations, focusing on task sequences, and estimating production support requirements.
  • Occasional travel, overtime, physical and mental exertion, along with consistent use of office equipment may be necessary.
Scope of Work:
  • Exercise sound judgment aligned with company policies while overseeing projects/contracts.
  • Resolve challenges that could impact product quality, delivery schedules, or costs by engaging with support department managers.
  • Develop innovative methods and processes to enhance safety, quality, production, and cost-efficiency.
  • Provide guidance to project support groups and Production personnel.
Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:
  • Proficient in obtaining and maintaining a Secret security clearance from the U.S. Department of Defense.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking ability, and understanding of logical connections.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective engagement with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Thorough knowledge of PMI project management processes.
  • Reliable team player, with exceptional time-management, organizational capabilities, and a proven track record of meeting deadlines.
Education:
  • B.S. in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience managing engineering projects, supported by relevant certifications.
  • Completion of accredited Project Management or Program Management course, along with PMP or PgMP certification through PMI or equivalent.
Experience:
  • Minimum of five (5) years specialized experience in SUBSAFE/Level I Material work and four (4) years in Naval Ship's Hull and Deck Machinery Systems and Equipment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in ensuring compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and the Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).
  • At least three (3) years of managerial experience, showcasing the ability to meet schedule and budget objectives.
