INTERNAL AUDIT (UA-IAUD-IUBLA)



The Office of Internal Audit collaborates and partners with clients to provide an independent appraisal of the effectiveness of the University's financial, operational and information technology internal control activities.



The Office of Internal Audit is seeking to fill a full-time associate auditor position.

General Responsibilities

  • Under significant supervision from experienced audit staff, perform attribute testing for operational or financial audits.
  • Participates and provide input in client meetings, taking clear and accurate notes to be retained in project work papers.
  • Conducts research for operational risks related to assigned audit projects.
  • Prepares preliminary work product, including analysis and conclusions, to be reviewed by experienced audit staff.
  • Contributes to personal and departmental growth by learning university processes and auditing standards.


Combinations of related education and experience may be considered. Education beyond the minimum required may be substituted for work experience. Work experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted for education.

EDUCATION

Required

  • Bachelor's degree (preferably in business, auditing, accounting, finance, IT, operations, or related field)
  • Will consider May 2024 graduation date

WORK EXPERIENCE

Preferred

  • Some experience in related business/office role

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES

Required

  • Possess a valid driver's license and ability to be insured by Indiana University upon date of hire

  • Detail-oriented


This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
