Position Overview:

We are currently looking for a Financial Operations Associate to join our team. This role demands a solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and excellent communication skills. Ideal candidates will thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and appreciate the diverse responsibilities that come with this position.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and manage Direct, Indirect, and Intercompany Work Order (IWO) Projects within Deltek Costpoint.
  • Provide comprehensive support throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Engage in monthly closing activities.
  • Conduct monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts for review.
  • Prepare journal entries, including accruals and amortization of prepaid and precontract costs.
  • Execute ad-hoc analyses and special projects as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

Applicants typically require less than one year of relevant experience, along with a related Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving, research, and analytical skills to address inquiries.
  • A willingness to learn, adapt, and enhance processes in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Familiarity with U.S. GAAP accounting practices and principles.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in government contracting and knowledge of FAR/CAS.
  • Familiarity with Deltek Costpoint.
  • Understanding of accounting standards and research methodologies.
