Job Summary of the PRN Vascular TechnologistResponsible for performing all assigned diagnostic ultrasound exams in a timely manner. Performs procedures according to physician's orders or per prescription on outpatients. As a member of the care team, the Ultrasound Sonographer is responsible for working collaboratively with other members to assure safe and accurate delivery of patient care. Assumes, under the direction of the Laboratory, responsibility for patient specimen testing, quality control, quality improvement, and equipment maintenance.Qualifications of the PRN Vascular Technologist

EDUCATION:

  • Certificate of successful completion from an accredited school of Vascular Ultrasound
  • Associates Degree in Diagnostic Ultrasound

EXPERIENCE:

  • Preferred: One year of previous experience in Vascular Ultrasound

LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) with American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) with Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
