Job Responsibilities

The Vascular Technologist is responsible for conducting all assigned diagnostic ultrasound examinations efficiently. Key responsibilities include:

  • Identifying venous anatomy in both upper and lower extremities.
  • Recognizing collateral venous pathways in cases of disease.
  • Executing Venous Duplex protocols for DVT assessments.
  • Identifying cranial anatomy and performing Carotid Duplex exams.
  • Assessing arterial anatomy and conducting arterial flow examinations.
  • Utilizing advanced measurement and Doppler technologies.
  • Producing high-quality diagnostic scans for patients of all ages.
  • Managing workflow effectively to meet urgent demands.
  • Demonstrating expertise in scanning complex cases and adapting techniques as necessary.
  • Assisting physicians with invasive procedures.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and adhering to safety protocols.
  • Participating in on-call rotations as required.
  • Complying with all healthcare standards and policies.
Qualifications

Education:

  • Associate Degree in Diagnostic Ultrasound.
  • Completion of an accredited vascular ultrasound program.

Experience:

  • Preferred: At least one year of experience in Vascular Ultrasound.

Licenses & Certifications:

  • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS).
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required within 30 days of employment.
