Job ResponsibilitiesThe Vascular Technologist is responsible for conducting all assigned diagnostic ultrasound examinations efficiently. Key responsibilities include:
- Identifying venous anatomy in both upper and lower extremities.
- Recognizing collateral venous pathways in cases of disease.
- Executing Venous Duplex protocols for DVT assessments.
- Identifying cranial anatomy and performing Carotid Duplex exams.
- Assessing arterial anatomy and conducting arterial flow examinations.
- Utilizing advanced measurement and Doppler technologies.
- Producing high-quality diagnostic scans for patients of all ages.
- Managing workflow effectively to meet urgent demands.
- Demonstrating expertise in scanning complex cases and adapting techniques as necessary.
- Assisting physicians with invasive procedures.
- Maintaining accurate documentation and adhering to safety protocols.
- Participating in on-call rotations as required.
- Complying with all healthcare standards and policies.
Education:
- Associate Degree in Diagnostic Ultrasound.
- Completion of an accredited vascular ultrasound program.
Experience:
- Preferred: At least one year of experience in Vascular Ultrasound.
Licenses & Certifications:
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS).
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required within 30 days of employment.
