LEGENDS ATTRACTIONS

Global Attractions is the newest business vertical and is quickly expanding. Starting with One World Observatory sitting high above Manhattan at the top of the tallest building in the Western hemisphere and now expanding all over the world, the Attractions vertical brings together all of Legends 360-degree capabilities to develop unparalleled experience in one awe-inspiring space, featuring some of the most spectacular views and newest technology around the world. For each location, we operate the tour experience, ticket sales, hospitality offerings, special events, and sponsorship - all to elevate the guest experience at the top. Some of the venues include One World Observatory in NYC, The View at the Shard in London, Sky View Observatory in Seattle, Vue Orleans, Illuminarium Projects, and more.

ONE WORLD OBSERVATORY

Positioned at the top of One World Trade Center, the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere, on levels 100, 101, and 102 – One World Observatory provides guests with unique, panoramic views of New York City, its most iconic sites, and surrounding waters from 1,250 feet. A customized guest experience complements the seemingly endless views - which evoke feelings of the City's signature pride, hope and determination - including special interactive experiences and dining options, plus a sit-down restaurant.

In 2016, One World Observatory received awards and recognition from the Concierge Choice Awards (Winner: Tourist Attraction), Themed Entertainment Association (Thea Awards for Outstanding Achievement), TripAdvisor (Top U.S. Trending Summer Attraction), and Lonely Planet (Favorite Online Listing).

THE ROLE

The Manager, Tourism & Trade Sales is responsible for building and maintaining partner relationships with OTAs, Travel Agents, and Wholesalers to increase the overall third-party FIT business at One World Observatory. Additionally, the Tourism and Trade Sales Manager will leverage partner relationships to maximize marketing outreach and manage the overall OWO brand within the contracted B2B and B2C channels. The role reports to the Director or Sales & Marketing.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Sell, coordinate and execute MBS tours
  • Creatively market and actively promote the product
  • Hire, develop and manage a high-quality staff to lead guided tours
  • Complete sales negotiations to increase bookings and coordinate invoices and payments
  • Assist in creation of new group programs and events that increase sales opportunities and overall group tickets/revenue
  • Proactively create opportunities for new business with tours and theme days
  • Collaborate with local businesses, schools, churches, corporations, travel and tourism
  • Respond in a timely manner to calls, inquiries and emails related to the above areas of responsibility and to general information requests as needed
  • Complete all aspects of event coordination for tour related activities
  • Provide superior customer service to clients and prospects
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationship with the tour guides and management
  • Represent Legends and MBS at community events for purpose of maximizing sales opportunities

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty above at the highest levels. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Event planner is a plus
  • 1-2 years' experience in sales/group sales, special events environment; sports or entertainment experience preferred
  • High level of demonstrated professionalism
  • Proven sales experience preferred
  • Hyper-organized and able to execute both sides of the business (i.e., sales and operations)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Quick learner with ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work well with and manage different personalities
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, energetic and outgoing personality with a creative and proactive approach to work
  • Background in hospitality or management (hotels; events)
  • Knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
COMPENSATION

$87,500 + bonus (up to 10%) + a generous benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, paid vacation, and 401(k) plan.
