As a Hospitality and Operations Intern at Urban Furnished, you will support the Experience team in various facets of furnished rental management, including housekeeping, maintenance, and other special projects. You will also engage in initiatives such as standard operating procedure development, quality control, listing management, and enhancing guest satisfaction. This role provides a unique opportunity to collaborate with various departments, learn from seasoned professionals, and gain valuable insights into the hospitality sector. You will play a crucial role in maintaining our high-end apartments in a fast-paced setting. We are excited to elevate our company, and we want you to join us on this journey.
This is an UNPAID internship, requiring a commitment of approximately 15 hours per week, with in-person attendance at our Chelsea office.
To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's program in hospitality, tourism, business, operations, or a related discipline, with a minimum GPA of 3.0
- Ability to reliably commute to our office
- Strong passion for the hospitality industry and a desire to contribute to seamless operations
- A keen eye for both the broader picture and intricate details
- Capability to handle multiple deadlines and projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills, with the ability to engage with guests and colleagues from diverse backgrounds
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Drive, and familiarity with property management systems (e.g., Guesty, Micros, Synxis, Opera, etc.)
- Adaptable, flexible, and open to taking on new challenges and responsibilities
- Able to work independently as well as collaboratively with minimal supervision
