Position Overview

The Vice President of Operations for Global Patient Services is responsible for leading the formulation, coordination, and execution of policies, services, and programs that enhance operational efficiency, aiming to elevate clinical outcomes and financial success within the Global Patient Services Division. Key Responsibilities:

• Spearhead the development of leadership capabilities and drive initiatives that align with the objectives of the Global Patient Services Division and the broader goals of Northwell Health.

• Formulate and communicate a long-term strategic vision for the Global Patient Services Division.

• Foster quality and productivity enhancements by engaging in the creation of refined procedures and innovative processes that support the strategic direction of the health system; plan and implement the use of information resources to align with organizational objectives.

• Research, design, and oversee the execution of strategic plans, policies, and standards to optimize programmatic success while managing associated expenses.

• Engage in the planning, organization, and coordination of financial policies and practices to oversee revenue control, fund disbursement, and asset conservation; monitor fiscal operations, including accounting, reporting, billing, payroll, and regulatory compliance.

• Collaborate with leadership to identify best practices and areas for improvement, develop performance enhancement strategies, and implement cost-effective solutions; explore new opportunities and ensure the successful execution of innovative ideas.

• Participate in the planning, design, implementation, and support of information systems and departmental applications to enhance operational efficiencies; standardize fiscal and regulatory reporting to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.

• Direct the implementation of Human Resources strategies to meet strategic goals, encompassing organizational development, recruitment, compensation, training, and employee relations.

• Lead the management and development of professional relationships and community support by identifying and cultivating new business initiatives and opportunities.

• Represent the business unit in engagements with various internal and external stakeholders and manage collaborative operating committees as necessary.

• Perform additional duties as required, with all responsibilities considered essential functions of the role under applicable laws.

Qualifications:

• A Master's Degree is required, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

• A minimum of 10-12 years of pertinent experience, including at least 7 years in leadership or management roles, is required.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated success in expanding Global Patient Services: Proven experience in developing and executing strategies that significantly increased international patient volume and revenue in a healthcare environment.
  • Experience in establishing international healthcare operations: Proven ability to set up and manage international offices or partnerships, navigating regulatory requirements and cultural considerations.
  • Established network of global healthcare contacts: A robust network of relationships with international healthcare providers, insurance companies, or government agencies to facilitate patient referrals and partnerships.
  • Strategic insight into the medical tourism landscape: A strong understanding of global healthcare trends, competitive dynamics, and key success factors within the medical tourism sector.
