Electrical Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

● Creating new inverter-based welding power supply designs.

● Designing schematics of switching power supplies and auxiliary circuits

● Routing and PCB layout of high frequency and high amperage designs

● Developing firmware of assorted power supply control systems

● Testing of prototype designs and PCB's

● Supporting customers remotely with existing equipment and designs

● Updating existing designs with new technology as needed

● Working with manufacturing to implement new products and test procedures

Qualifications:

● BS Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent

● 5+ years experience in electronics design and PCB layout

● Expertise in electrical PCB design software (Altium preferred)

● Experience with microcontroller structures and at least one IDE (Atmel/Microchip Studio, MPLAB, Arduino, Code Composer Studio, etc)

● Comprehensive Lab skills and knowledge of basic test equipment (Multimeter, Oscilloscope, differential probes, etc)

● Ability to collaborate as part of a team as well as work independently

● Willingness to learn new skills and technologies

● Self starter and goal oriented
