Position: Corporate Controls Engineer (Aveva/SCADA)

Employment Type: Direct Hire

Location: Wooster, Ohio area – onsite role

Essential Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 6 years in Controls & Automation Engineering, ideally in sectors such as Food/Beverage or Consumer Goods.
  • Proficient in SCADA systems, with a preference for Aveva (Wonderware).
  • Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs (ControlLogix) and advanced ladder logic programming is essential.
  • Strong background in HMI Development, particularly with Wonderware (Aveva) Archestra.
  • Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming principles.
  • Experience in the design and specification of process control panels.
  • Advanced skills in process area programming.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% as required.

Desirable Skills:

  • Familiarity with Wonderware MES or similar MES platforms.
  • Experience in .NET programming.
  • Knowledge of SQL database and scripting.
  • Experience with Ethernet/IP Communications in a Plant Control System.

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Electronics is required.

Key Responsibilities:

The role involves managing controls and automation projects focused on the installation and upgrading of manufacturing systems. Responsibilities include providing onsite support and engaging in the development, installation, and commissioning of plant controls and automation systems, which encompass PLC programming, HMI development, and MES data collection. The engineer will also establish and adhere to process control standards while collaborating with third-party controls partners.
