Position: Corporate Controls Engineer (Aveva/SCADA)
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Location: Wooster, Ohio area – onsite role
Essential Qualifications:
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in Controls & Automation Engineering, ideally within sectors such as Food/Beverage or Consumer Goods.
- Proficient in SCADA systems, with a preference for Aveva (Wonderware).
- Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs (ControlLogix) and advanced ladder logic programming is required.
- Strong background in HMI Development, particularly with Wonderware (Aveva) Archestra.
- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming principles.
- Experience in the design and specification of process control panels.
- Advanced skills in process area programming.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
- Willingness to travel up to 25%.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with Wonderware MES or similar MES platforms.
- Experience in .NET programming.
- Knowledge of SQL database and scripting.
- Experience with Ethernet/IP Communications in a Plant Control System.
Educational Background:
- A Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Engineering, Computer Science, or Electronics.
Key Responsibilities:
The role involves engaging in controls and automation projects aimed at installing or upgrading manufacturing systems. Responsibilities include providing onsite support, developing, installing, and commissioning plant controls and automation systems, which encompass PLC programming, HMI development, and MES data collection. The individual will be expected to establish and adhere to process control standards while collaborating with third-party controls partners.
