Your Key Responsibilities

As an Electric Motor Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Designing, simulating, and optimizing electric motors (eMotors) to meet performance and efficiency requirements.
  • Evaluating and selecting electric machine architectures and topologies based on thermal and electromagnetic characteristics.
  • Developing eMotors that meet targeted cost and manufacturing processes.
  • Applying electromagnetic physics principles to eMotor design and development.
  • Modeling vibration characteristics of motors to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to simulate and correlate designs.
  • Communicating results and recommendations through reports and presentations.

Your Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering-related field and one year of applicable experience.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, thermal, and electromagnetic principles and their application to electric motor design.
  • Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) modeling software such as Ansys Maxwell, Ansys MotorCAD, JMAG, or FLUX.

Our Offering
